GRIPPE A / A FLU

Chers parents,
En date du 17/05/2010, le LFS recense 4 cas de grippe.
Nous vous rappelons les règles d'hygiènes simples mais d'une grande efficacité contre la propagation du virus :
- se laver les mains plusieurs fois par jour avec du savon ou utiliser une solution hydro-alcoolique,
- se couvrir la bouche et le nez avec sa manche ou un mouchoir à usage unique en cas d'éternuement ou de toux,
- appeler son médecin traitant en cas de symptômes grippaux,
- ne pas envoyer à l'école un enfant ayant de la fièvre et/ou présentant des symptômes grippaux.
Si le médecin diagnostique chez votre enfant le virus de la grippe A, nous vous remercions de bien vouloir suivre la procédure suivante:
- prévenir immédiatement le service santé,
- envoyer au service santé un certificat médical indiquant la présomption de grippe,
- garder l'enfant à la maison,
- demander au médecin un certificat médical de reprise à remettre au service santé dès le retour de l'enfant.
Dès qu'un cas est signalé au LFS, nous prenons immédiatement toutes les mesures préconisées par L'AEFE, l'Ambassade et le MOE.

Dear Parents,
On 17/05/2010, LFS counts 4 cases of flu.
We remind you the basic hygiene rules very efficient to prevent the virus propagation:
- regular and proper washing with soap or waterless antiseptic cleanser,
- in case of sneezing or cough, cover your mouth and nose with your sleeve or use disposable tissue,
- call your doctor in case of flu-like symptoms,
- do not send your child to school in case of fever and/or flu-like symptoms.
If your child is diagnosed with the A flu virus, we thank you for following the procedure below:
- immediately inform the LFS nurse,
- send to the nurse the medical certificate indicating the presumption of flu,
- keep your child at home,
- ask for a medical certificate allowing the child to come back to school to submit to the nurse as soon as the child returns.
As soon as a case is reported, LFS follows the instructions given by AEFE, the French Embassy and MOE.
