INTERNATIONAL FRIENDSHIP DAY 11 avril 2008 On Friday, April 11th, the CP and CE1 Bilingue classes were invited to Bendemeer Primary School to celebrate International Friendship Day.
The French School students looked at presentation booths prepared by Bendemeer students on the subjects of France, Vietnam, Australia and Sarawak. After viewing the booths, the students learned how to play local, Singaporean games. Finally, there was a general assembly in which Students from Bendemeer performed a song and a dance, students from the Australian International School presented their country, and the CP Bilingue students performed their theatre presentation in French with English subtitles. The entire assembly ended with over 800 students singing: "We Are the World" together.
The students and faculty of Bendemeer were very welcoming and the students enjoyed the oportunity to get together and learn about each other's cultures.
